The 2nd Seal

THE RED HORSE: THE WEAPON OF FEAR

Hell is Man-Made

The doctrine of eternal Hell has turned the Gospel from a message of love and restoration into an instrument of fear and control. For centuries this teaching has replaced childlike trust in God with spiritual terror and institutional obedience.

The Map of Hell is a late 15th-century drawing by Italian Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli, his illustrations for Dante’s Inferno

Seal 2:

When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, ‘Come.’ And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.

— Revelation 6:3-4

Many see only physical war in the red horse. But its deeper assault is spiritual — the systematic removal of true peace through the greatest myth ever perpetuated by religion: eternal conscious torment in Hell.

This rider does not merely bring battlefield bloodshed. He wields a sword that slaughters inner peace — replacing trust in a loving God with paralyzing fear of never-ending torture.

Key Revelations of the Second Seal:

  • The modern concept of “Hell” as a place of eternal fiery torment does not exist in the original Scriptures.
  • The Bible uses four different words (Sheol, Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus) that were later merged and mistranslated into the single terrifying English word “Hell.”
  • Hell theology was heavily shaped by Greek philosophy, Roman politics, medieval power structures, and mistranslations — not by the original Hebrew and Greek texts.
  • The true biblical message is that death itself (the cycle of separation from God) will ultimately be destroyed, not preserved forever in torment.
  • God’s justice is corrective and restorative, not sadistic. Fire in Scripture is most often a symbol of purification and consumption of evil, not endless torture.
  • Hell was used as a tool of moral control. It is not real.

The Second Seal does not destroy hope — it restores peace.

It calls the Church to reject fear-based control and return to the true Gospel: a God who is Love, whose justice ultimately heals and redeems rather than endlessly punishes.
